Within Public Affairs, the Product Management and Operations unit is responsible for managing the delivery of major/recurring projects such as the Voter Guide, candidate materials, agency publications, and the CFB’s web properties. Our project management, language access, and digital operations teams work together to ensure that our materials are accessible and relevant to all New Yorkers, especially underrepresented communities. Reporting to the Director of Product Management and Operations, the Project Manager will lead the execution and distribution of agency publications and projects, including the citywide Voter Guide mailed to all eligible voters in New York City. The Project Manager will also research and partner with vendors to produce new accessible versions of agency collateral, such as audio, Braille, and audience-specific editions of resource materials. The incumbent will advise business unit management on the effectiveness of vendor risk identification and controls, coordinating with risk subject matter experts across the enterprise (e.g., Compliance, Privacy, GCO) as necessary to ensure AXP practices are compliant with internal policy and external regulatory guidance. As a member of second line of defense, this role will be part of a world class team of professionals who analyze and monitor different facets of Third-Party risk to AXP.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Challenge efficacy of Third-Party framework design and execution through lead and support of oversight review activities.</li><li>Conduct ongoing monitoring activities and sample-based testing, including identification and deployment of key risk indicators in coordination with the VRO Risk Analytics team.</li><li>Facilitate team responses to exams/requests from auditor and regulatory teams (e.g., IAG, RELM).</li><li>Assess risk data for completeness, consistency, and accuracy.</li><li>Ensure appropriate measurement, evaluation, reporting, and governance exists for risk taking activities.</li><li>Advance team goals and objectives, including continuous program improvements to increase efficacy.</li><li>Develop deep and productive working relationships across multiple stakeholder groups across all lines of defense.</li><li>Analyze large data sets to identify risk trends, leading indicators, and outlook in Third-party risk.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in risk management/audit /internal control function / similar role or relevant experience in consultancy within the Big Four or in a bank/financial institution background.</li><li>Demonstrated aptitude executing on principles of effective operational risk management.</li><li>Recognized risk advocate, who is a dynamic, proactive and decisive person who can translate complex or disparate content into succinct language to drive root cause course correction.</li><li>Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to apply both quantitative methods and business skills to create insights and drive results.</li><li>Rigorous and analytical approach to problem-solving, decision-making, and effective prioritization.</li><li>Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying issues, delivering and escalating meaningful findings, and advising on recommended solutions to correct issues or mitigate risks.</li><li>Ability to work independently and across a matrix organization partnering with business partners and functional owners.</li><li>Working knowledge of OCC Heightened Standards.</li><li>Undergraduate degree required, preferably in Business, Finance, or Accounting.</li><li>This role requires to be in office for 3 days/week (Hybrid).</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Master’s degree and/or industry recognized certifications preferred (e.g., CPA, CTPRP, CISSP).</li><li>Experience managing or overseeing risk frameworks within a Global Systemically Important Bank (GSIB).</li><li>Proficiency with Affiliate / Non-Affiliate Third-Party Risk Management and Regulation W.</li><li>Understanding of interagency guidance for Third-Party Lifecycle: Risk Management.</li></ul>Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
