Job Duties:
Teach 38-42 hours per year via on ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced modalities as assigned. Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment and distance-based courses as required. Assists the Program Director in developing, reviewing, and updating the clinical educational objectives and competencies in accordance with recommended accreditation standards. Teaches courses, lectures, or labs as assigned by Program Director up to the maximum number of contact hours allowed by current accreditation. Adequately prepares all course materials and lessons. Prepares labs for assigned Medical Laboratory Technology courses. Provides each student with clear course expectations, evaluations and timelines through carefully written topical outlines and approved, standardized syllabus. Provides interesting and relevant assignments for students that demonstrate learning outcomes in a real-life setting. Ensures safety and sanitation of all labs, equipment and supplies. Works with the Program Director to resolve student concerns. Assists in preparation for accreditation inspection. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
Certified or certification eligible in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS)/Medical Technologist (MT). Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution in medical technology or in one of the biological, chemical or physical sciences. Three years full time clinical lab work experience. Licensed or eligible for licensure in Tennessee as a medical technologist. Adequate knowledge and proficiency in content areas taught.

Collegiate level teaching experience.
